High agency
You spot the next useful move, make sound calls and close loops without waiting to be managed.
Join the founding team
We're looking for two people to help run Riverside Robots day to day: the shop, the hardware, the content and the community.
We're not hiring by rigid job title. Show us what you can own.
01 / THE SHAPE OF THE TEAM
These are the capabilities the founding pair should have between them. We value evidence, judgment and energy more than a particular degree or conventional career path.
You spot the next useful move, make sound calls and close loops without waiting to be managed.
You run agents, wire sensors, flash ESP32s, break prototypes and enjoy explaining what happened.
Professional Mandarin and English, plus real familiarity with Shenzhen or the wider GBA hardware ecosystem.
You can make a beginner feel welcome, keep a shop disciplined and turn customers into regulars.
You can turn a product, build or event into a useful story people actually want to watch.
You want to run workshops, project nights and the small rituals that make a place belong to people.
Nobody needs to be all six things. One person may lean toward store operations and community; another toward hardware, sourcing and content. The exact split should emerge from the people—not precede them.
02 / APPLY LIKE A BUILDER
No cover-letter theatre and no ten-field application portal. Write a useful `.md` file that helps us understand what you've done, how you think and what you would own here.
Use this shape if it helps. Add links, photos hosted elsewhere, project notes or anything that provides real evidence.
